Furniture prices negotiable?

We are not going to shop at bricks and leons, we are looking for decent quality furnitures, from reading online I have identified Brooklyn Furnitures as a good source, perhaps Urban Barn.

Questions:

1) Has anyone shopped in these stores, if so what are your thoughts (read homestars and couple of other reviews, looking for up to date personal experience).
2) Are prices at these and this type of stores negotiable.
3) Can anyone suggest other sources for good quality furnitures which are good value and not overpriced.
4) While I like old furntitures and am not opposed to buying them, I am not sure if I want to spend lots of time going through garage sales, kijiji and so on and then refurnish them, however if anyone knows a good source for such furntitures which are already refreshed it would be great to know.

Thank you.

Most furniture stores are negotiable but I don't know about IKEA though.

Based on some of the readings I did prices at Brooklyn are much lower than other stores for the same items, so I would like to know if these specific stores are negotiable ;-)
