Future Shop 7 Days of Deals (Online)
I just got an email from Future Shop about their "7 Days of Online Deals". Trying to copy Dell I see
Anyways, the Day 1 deal is:
Athena Micra 6 Speaker System $299.99 (save $400)

hmmm... ONE review on FS.ca and its a "+"
Great for small room, 4/20/2005

I bought the Athena Micra 6 in a package with the Harman Kardon AVR 130. It's pretty well a high quality entry level surround system. Down side No component video inputs - only S-Video Only 2 S-video inputs on rear panel - the 3rd is in the front (which is where I have to plug in my X-box). When I move up to HDTV, I'll have to route the HD signal directly to my set and bypass the video switching in the receiver - which may be a pain. Up side The speakers although small are extremely nicely balanced. The subwoofer has a variable crossover switch that makes it really easy to balance the low end. Occasionally I long for a little more focused bottom end in the rear channels - but it's a small sacrifice based on the price equation. The sound quality is exceptional. Granted the HK 130 gives a very clean, full output, but the speakers bring the sounds to life very nicely. I understand matching stands for these speakers are available, but I was unable to find them anywhere, so I just used generic stands for the rear. The fronts I screw mounted with the included brackets to the wall. Very easy to do, and the small size made the very unobstrusive. If you have a smaller size room (mine is about 12 x 15), I think you'll find these speakers to be a bargain. I got the receiver and speakers in a package for under $800 at Future Shop.

Yea, copying Dell here. Or else they wouldn't have chosen the last day of Dell's Deals to start their own. Oh well, at least FS has free shipping all the time, so no worries about having to pay it. And FS doesn't say anything about limited quantity about this sale.
No interest in today's deal. My Logitech ones work fine.
