[Apple] Future Shop - Apple MacBook Air 11.6" (Core i7, 256GB SSD) - $899.95 (Save $200)

It's Sandy Bridge based but still i7 and 256GB SSD is pretty good for this price;

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/ ... 11313.aspx

This is $150 lower than Apple's refurb price.

They also have a i5/128GB SSD for $749.95; http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/ ... 73232.aspx

As for the Apple/PC thread crapping, please take it to the Computer and Electronics forum, thanks!

Time to buy one and load Windows?

2.45KG? Kinda heavy for 11.6" Macbook Air... I thought they were super light o.O

That's wrong. it should be lbs. 2.45lbs...

Edit:

For those wondering what this model lacks vs. the latest MBA

1) USB 2.0 vs. USB 3.0
2) Intel Graphics 3000 vs 4000
3) 1.8 Ghz i7 Sandy Bridge vs. 2.0 Ghz i7 Ivy Bridge

BUT the latest similarly configured 11" MBA will run you $1550 new.

RFDers like better deals.

Am I only one that uses a mouse all the time? I've tried the touchpad on the mac, and all touchpads simply suck relative to using a mouse.
Anyways posted cuz Geokilla was wondering if it was time to buy one and load windows on it.

mac's touchpad is magical, esp with bettertouchtool
Windows is good if you need it, or if you need a budget laptop

That's likely the weight of the box, so inclusive of power adapter etc. The Air itself weighs 1kg.

If this was 13" I would buy it immediately
11" is too small for my liking

Much better deal and has windows. Also use the make offer button for cheaper.
Uh, this is a 15 inch laptop at 4 lbs - not really the same as a 11.6 inch laptop at 2.5 lbs, specs and value aside...

Maybe if you find the 11.6 too small, but frankly a 15.6 inch is too big - I find my 13.3 inch Ultrabook to be a tad too large
