I own a pair and i would buy them again if i would need to. 500$ for the pair is a really good price but the real deal is probably the Klipsch Centre Channel Speaker (RC-62) at 299$. Dont buy the RC-52 to match your RF-82, buy the RC-62. For the last three boxing day, it was selling at 299$ and was selling out fast. It is the first time i see the RC-62 bellow 400$ outside the boxing week.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit, payed $800 about 2 years ago and I thought THAT was a great price

Oh and RC-62 for $300 is an AWESOME price too. I have RF-62's, RF-82's, RC-52 and RC-62 speakers.......the RF-82's NEED the RC-62 centre to sound right.Last edited by IntrepidRT; Nov 24th, 2012 at 09:43 AM.

RC-61 doesn't exist. RC would be a Reference Center with one 6".
RC are center, RS are Reference Surround and RB are Reference Bookshelf. RB-61 and RS-42 are nice with the RF-82 or RF-62.
RC-62 is mandatory for RF-82 and recommended for RF-62, the fact that it is 299$ makes it a no-brainer.
For the Sub, i highly recommend the Klipsch Reference RW-12d at 299$ at newegg.COM if you have an amerifriend. Currently OOS, it's unbeatable for 300$.
Receiver really depends on your specific needs.

For the last three years, RC-62 lowest price was 299$ at the boxing week. It was OOS in 2-3 days. IMHO, it is the first time at 299$ outside the boxing week.
RF-82 at 500$/pair is also the lowest price if you except some promotion where it was BOGO at 350$ if you bought a 60 in tv. 500$ is a VERY nice price.
RB-61 price is lower at boxing day. I recommend that you take a look at RS-42 (RS400B at futureshop), depending on your room configuration, RF-42 might be a better choice.
Dont buy a sub at FS, period.

Also need a receiver if anyone has a recommendation for that.
Cheers

godamnit!!! I bought them... soo happy and sooo sad at the same time. Wasn't part of the budget but i've alwasy wanted these speakers! Now to save up money for a sub and 2 rears oh and a receiver.
Thanks OP!
Pretty dumb question but is there a way that I can run the speakers off my existing z5500 (temporarily) before I get a new receiver?
