the thing is i would love to get a 7.1 but I am really stretching my budget with this setup. So I am trying to cut some corners by not getting 7.1 right away so I figured might as well get a 5.1 for now and this one seems to be well rated. The question is how will it match the Klipsch speakers?

I've bought both these as well as the Monitor 75t's for $398 on Black Friday from visions.ca. http://www.visions.ca/Catalogue/Cate...&sku=MONITOR75
Which is the better speaker? Shipping on the Visions deal nearly puts them at equal.

I bought the centre channel as well separately and applied the $25 off $250 order which made it come to $312.38 total with free shipping.
I'll for sure be returning the Polk Audio Monitor 75t's now.

Thanks OP! I ended up buying the RF82s and the RC62 Channel (with discount code). I'm not sure what else to add. I'm thinking a 5.1 setup is good enough. Anyone know if I should be buying a sub and surround speakers for FS to complete the set? Any recommendations?

I have had the AVR-1713 mated with RF-82s. For music I found it very bright (fatiguing to the ear during long listening sessions) but for movies it will be great.

You could go with 3.1 until you find a good deal for some surrounds and a sub. The matching sub and surrounds for the set are the RS-52 (surround) and the SW-112B (Klipsch 12" sub).

I tried to use the promo code with 2xRF-82 and 1xRC-62 and if you do that you can't get the RF-82 at a two-for-one price through the system..
So I guess I have to make 2 orders. One for the towers, and one for the centre and save only $25 instead of $100
Bummer :/

I ordered a pair but soon realized they are the older model. The newest ones are the RF-82II. May return them.

Thanks for the tip. Calling them now to get the price adjusted.

I bought the towers and added the centre as well as the rpw-10 sub. It all came too $1000 pre tax, but I didn't use a coupon code. What code are people referring too? Where can I get it? I assume I could still have a car apply the code.

Let us know if it works. I tried the same thing online, but the minute you but the code in, the BOGO offer is eliminated.
(may be intentional on FS's behalf)

I only ordered the center (already own the RF-82s) so it worked for me. They adjusted it over the phone.

Yup, that's why FS is trying to clear these out.

I wouldn't worry too much about that.

So I did some research and decided that I would pass on the RPW-10 Sub and hold off to buy a really good one (ed/HSU or SVC) later on. I'm definitely only doing a 5.1 set up for my large room and was wondering if surrounds are better to use then bookshelves? I know that the RB-61's are on sale right now but might hold off and try to find the RS-52/62s. The back speakers have to be wall mounted btw. Any suggestions?
