This is a hot deal. I just built a computer with similar specs except it had the phenom 965 as opposed to to the 810 and I used an old HD, mouse, keyboard, and windows 7 for the exact same price. So this is actually a better deal.

Im sure it will come up at some point here so ill just comment that the onboard graphics card will play any new game that's out now albiet you will likely half to play them on low- medium settings. if you want to add a decent video card to this system you'll likely have to add a new PSU as My experience with HP cPus leads me to believe this may only have a 300 watt PSU which is less than th recommended settings for any decent video card

yea, you can always upgrade vista fairly cheaply though. and the CC one is brand new and was on sale for less. I think it was a decent deal. If you're looking for Refurbs, CC always has a ton, but im always skeptical which is why i jumped on the Gateway when it was 449 brand new.

Also, the vid card has HDMI which is a big for me. has 2 vga, a dvi and hdmi

Although the gateway one is new, the deal has past so its useless now.

Thanks OP, hopefully I don't get any problems with the refurb.

This looks like a great deal to me, ya the graphics card is nothing special but with 8GB DDR 3 and a sweet processor for $500 you can get a Geforce 9800 for $100 and you'll be all set.

I have a refurbished HP as my main computer (see my signature below) that i bought 3 1/2 years ago when the local Future Shop first opened and sold it as a door crasher for $300. My 8800 GT barely fits in there but it works.

Anyway, if they hadn't told me it was refurbished i would have never known, so you should just compare this to a new computer cause I doubt you'd be able to tell.

Laptop: Acer 17.3" LED Intel T4200 2.0 GHz 4GB DDR3 320GB HDD ($347 in May '10)
Displays: Viewsonic PJ558D XGA Projector @ 95" (-Wow its huge! - I hear that a lot.), Acer 24" P244W 1080P LCD ($200 in Jan '09)

HP Pavilion Desktop Computer featuring AMD Phenom X4 9750 (P6130F)

Is this a good deal as well??
Which one would be a better choice at same price, in terms of spec wise.
The FS one as it has the Phenom II processor - which is faster

Also, the Radeon 4200 graphics is better than the Nvidia 9100 (well, rather than saying "better" I should say it "sucks less" )

However the FS is a refurb and the BB one not, so that accounts for something. But specs wise, the FS one wins.
