Futureshop end of month
Hi. I remeber reading on here a thread about someone getting a t.v. for really cheap because at the end of the month futureshop sales departments need to make sales quotas.. I don't know if i'm dreaming this or I completely read the entire thread wrong. But tomorrow is the last day of the month. Will going at around 9:20ish help me get a better deal on a camera that I'm looking to buy?

usually they wont move much if at all. what kind/type of camera are you after? there usually isnt much movement on the cameras themselves unless you buy the accessories/service plans along with it. usually shopping around will get you better deals. i find using the price guarantee is a better way to go (ie find a better price somewhere else), even though futureshop/best buy employees make you feel like you're stealing from them.

I'm looking for the Nikon P80. I found a really good deal on www.pricegrabber.ca and it's a canadian based website. So hopefully they will match that price. Does anyone know what the Cost value of this camera is?

i'm not sure but f/s 'cost' will not be the same since they lay in some overhead into the cost to inflate it. That is why they are not shy in showing you their cost. Also the cost isn't the only factor in tehir pricing since they may get additioanl discounts from the vendor to share in markdowns or promoting it in their flyer or getting certain volume discounts. all that won't be calculated in tehir cost. In short, even if they sold below their cost they could still break even or make money but won't tell you that.
