Galaxy 8800GT 255$ - direct canada
For ppl who still want a 8800GT direct canada has around 20 left and they are very close to the original 250$ price range 8800GT was suposed to get. I know the company(Galaxy) istn really known but I dont think it matter that much, they pretty much only put a cooler on it. Other thing to know only 1 year warranty and its OEM, there is no game in the package just the card.

I ordered one since I took too much time when I tried to order my gigabyte.

Some people are willing to go with a lesser company, I'd advise against it. I would much rather wait until EVGA, XFX or even BFG cards are in stock before buying any NVIDIA card. It's just not worth the risk to me. Is unknown customer support and poor warranty worth $250?

It's not bad if you just want the card now. Price is decent compared to the $280-300 the other companies are going for. If you PM at NCIX, I think I read that NCIX worked out some kind of deal where they cover the warranty for the entire year so it might not be so bad. Like you said though (or at least implied), one year warranty on the card is quite pathetic considering the big 3 you mentioned have lifetime.

I'm pretty sure both DC and NCIX will handle the one year warranty, so that doesn't matter. What matters is that EVGA gets you the step-up program, and then all three of those companies have lifetime warranties (except for XFX, which has a double lifetime warranty) as well as excellent customer service.

Meh i don't recommend people to think of EVGA for thier step-up program. I was thinking of stepping up my 8800GTS 320MB and just this month they changed the shipping to $45 from $15. Kind of breaks the deals.
