Thought I'd post this here for current Paranoid users on 2.54. Posted this on XDA as well.
As per this title "AOSPA:2.99 for Android 4.2 upcoming (Mon, 2012-11-19)" does that mean we will get an update tomorrow from 2.54 to 2.99 and to run Android 4.2 from 4.1.2? Also when will Paranoid be pushed out for the Nexus 4?
Do we just launch the GooManager and check for update? Once a notification pops up, we just apply the update from there? Or do we have to flash the update from scratch, i.e. factory reset, etc - like when we first got our phones?
Known issues with my phone/Paranoid 2.54 so far since installation:
a) I am not sure of this bug in 2.54, but perhaps some others might have it or just myself. When I try to change the colors of the navigation bar, i.e. the on screen software buttons from white to a different color, if I restart the phone for any reason, they change back to white by default.
b) My text messages are not being sent despite I have full or decent reception. Did not change the radio/baseband based on the XXLF1.
c) Phone lags at times to load up Google Now or other various things such as pulling up the app drawer.
Would appreciate some help re those.
Thanks in advance._______________

Thanks heh. So basically this is what I do: (PS apparently TWRP is better than CWM and CWM has no support in 4.2?)
1) Make Nandroid backup using CWM - already done
2) Factory reset
3) Boot into CWM and choose install zip - Paranoid 2.99
4) Wipe cache partition
5) Wipe dalvik cache
6) Reboot
Then I reinstall TB Pro and restore my users apps + data right? The above method won't remove root access right?
PPS to switch from CWM, I do the following right:
a) Open Goo Manager
b) Settings (i.e. 3 dots)
c) Choose install OpenRecovery Script
OR
a) Download the recovery image: http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/mag...2.1-maguro.img
b) Flash it using fastboot?
Edit: Just used the first method to switch to TWRP and it went smooth. Looks nice. Heh.
On a side note, it looks nice:

Paranoid Android ROM - AOSP Based
EDIT: ROM AND GAPPS HAVE BEEN PULLED FROM THE SITE BY THE DEVS! STAY TUNED!
Its out folks - version 2.99 is out. Its still an alpha release so expect known bugs. Version 3 will be the stable one.
Here are the instructions taken from XDA. PS I do recommend TWRP since it works better with Android 4.2 vs CWM.
AOSPA 2.99 for Android 4.2
0. copy ROM & GAPPS on your sdcard
1. flash the LATEST twrp recovery. you need this, otherwise it'll screw up your sdcard with clutter.
2. make a factory reset, yes, thats right, full wipe. you need this.
3. install ROM
4. install GAPPS
5. wipe cache & dalvik
6. reboot
7. it can take ages. 3-4-5 minutes. at some point it will make a reboot, start again and then go to the startup screen quickly.
8. when you fill in your data you'll be greeted by a nice black screen - press home and youre good. --- all that happens only once, next reboot the system is sane.
keep in mind this is supposed to be an early alpha preview, hence the 2.99. it seems perfectly stable but you will likely encounter some minor bugs. 3.+ will be our first fully stable version, or so we plan.

2.99 includes:
- 4.2 pure aosp, no cyanogenmod - not that i want to advertise it as a feature, just mentioning it
- we started to work on quicksettings and transformed some into toggles
- see through lockscreen
- clearall
- hybrid engine
- per app color
- transparent navbar & statusbar
- patched launcher/removed wallpaper offsets
- 4.2 sounds and walls
- google stock apps, not that second hand aosp stuff
- transparent sysUI drawables thanks to John Xionidis
- unlocked tablet UI, needs 1000dp, because its too raw, better not try - the usual 720dp "tablet mode" is nexus10 UI
- expanded desktop
- multiuser unlocked
- powermenu

Was successful in flashing wohoo. PS there are no Performance settings nor Navigation Bar/Toggle settings like in 2.54. My pics weren't even deleted at all. Just the apps that's it. TB should fix that hehe

New multi user support: *Yes you can see my name blah blah lol*

Oops sorry. Well the GAPPS is still there but some users or many are experiencing FCs with Camera and GTalk. The native Email app was not included but there's a fix for that. Other than that, the ROM was pulled due to many issues that people were experiencing. I have no such issues :S
Either way, they might release a fix soon or perhaps make it version 3?
Who knows..._______________

If you are on CWM and would like to switch to TWRP here's the guide:
- Download Goo Manager
- Hit Menu (3 dots)
- Select Install OpenRecoveryScript
- Follow Prompts and Reboot
- Automatically replaces CWM

I wish there was some way to increase the volume without interfering with the OTA updates but I guess I'm out of luck and don't want the hassle of having to flash revert files:
