Game of Thrones Season 2
Lots of Fanmade trailers and a leaked title promo but little else. Imdb lists an April 15th start to the new season. Can hardly wait!

Thought they were going to block this but since we now have HBO Canada, I guess not. Enjoy all!Last edited by DougO; Nov 22nd, 2011 at 12:04 AM.

lol I have to agree... though I already knew about the expected date for the second season so I wasn't as quite heart-broken, I'd imagine someone who didn't know about this would be quite disappointed upon opening this thread. What is there to discuss when it's still 5 months away?

Both shows air on HBO Canada but Spartacus originates on the Starz network in the US, so its scheduling has nothing to do with the mothership, HBO USA, which decides when Game of Thrones will air.
Last time I checked, the On Demand channel didn't have GoT on its lineup anymore, yet they still have lots of older series. Oh well, the Blu-ray will come out soon enough in March.

If you haven't already, you all should also check out the books - they're pretty good reads (especially the 3rd one).

No. These shows live and die by paid subscriptions and DVD/Blu-ray sales since there is no ad revenue as with a network show. I enjoy the show a lot and have no qualms about actually paying for a product I enjoy.
Speaking of which, the box art and inside have been revealed.

I think its the highest rated active tv show.
High production value, great pace and cast.

GoT will be back On Demand once it starts airing again, so I will have access to the show whether I download it or not.
I would purchase a digital copy of the series if they could somehow compete with torrents. For example, a database with a lifetime subscription to the shows you purchase, which also allows for live streaming would save me from buying external hard drives, and risk losing my files due to crashes. That's worth money to me. Besides, I don't even want to know what they're charging for the entire season of GoT on Bluray. It's probably far out of my price range (and thus zero loss to them, as I would not have bought it anyways, nor do I have a Bluray player). I'm still hedging on HD winning the format war. I hate Sony.Last edited by Syne; Nov 26th, 2011 at 01:18 AM.

April? Le sigh. These long in between season breaks suck. It already feels like a long time since I watched the season finale.
