To find the Garage store nearest you, please use our store locator.

To return online purchases to a store please take the packing slip included with your order and the method of payment used for the original purchase. The packing slip will serve as your receipt. If you don't have your packing slip, you'll be credited the current price of the item in the form of a Garage Gift Card.

I saw some comments about them not allowing returns to store on another website, so I called my local store and they said that for them to accept the returns, it has to be of the current season - the item code has to start with a 66-XXXX or later.

That's strange. I have a really old item that I haven't taken the tag off of yet but the item code starts with 66. And I have another item which is still on their site:

And as you can see, the code starts with 58.

I'm not too sure - maybe the return policy differs by stores? (Though they really should specify it on their website.) I guess it's better just to check with your local store to be sure that you're not stuck with items you don't want.
