Deja Vu for me.mlc2000 wrote:No sooner did I read this, when my wife called to tell me the garage door opener won't open.
Does this look familiar?

Where do you get parts for Chamberlain? I called Sears, they've never heard of my model 6200C (assume C stands for Canada). By the way, I live in Burlington and work near 427/QEW so anywhere in between is fine.
When this originally happened, the opener motor kept trying to open the door and kept running till the safety turned it off. No damage to the motor though
Check the Yellow Pages for a Chamberlain dealer.
The chain drive Chamberlains are identical to Sears openers but of course, the model numbers are different.
When you are done replacing the gears, you will have to adjust the limits on the opener again.
MAKE SURE YOU SPRAY WHITE LITHIUM GREASE on the gears once you have the opener re-installed, and remember to do a respray each year.
