Gary Kent Golf School
Thanks Feebz13 for your comments.
It's an interesting situation here, reading all the posts about my golf school. There's a common mistake the Red Flag Deal customers keep making.
They enroll in a beginner clinic, expecting indepth teaching. This is the problem. They are not understanding what a new golfer clinic is all about. (Covering basics in a bunch of areas to see if they will like the game. ) That's it!
If they want more indepth lessons why aren't they just enrolling in my private and semi private lessons like all the college and university kids do? Like all the serious players do.
Much like feebz13 says here in his/her post... Gary teaches some players with great looking swings! That's right. How do you think they got there?I will redo the wording of my new golfer clinics to remedy this problem. Thanks everyone for bringing this to my attention. Gary k

Just gonna chime in with my two cents. I took both the beginner and the intermediate level courses with Gary (quite a few years ago). I took the beginner when I barely knew how to play. It helped me correct my stance, work on my swing, and was quite beneficial. A couple years later, I took the intermediate courses. Those courses are much more suited for people who know how to play but still need guidance on becoming more consistent with their game. I definitely think that the intermediate courses were useful, as some of the tips I got from there I still use today on the golf course.
Now mind you, the beginner lessons were not taught by Gary, but I didn't think that that was an issue at all. I mean, I barely knew how to stand properly, so did it matter who was teaching me how to stand? My intermediate lessons were taught by him though. They were all group lessons, but the size was very manageable. I never felt ignored by the coaches. The beginner lesson had about 12 people if I remember correctly, and two instructors, while the intermediate one had 6-8 people with one instructor (Gary). If I still lived in Toronto, I'd definitely shell out some money and try a private or semi-private lesson.

Hi Flexwong
Thanks for your comments,
12 people, 2 instructors, 6 people per teacher sounds fair at $99 for 5 one hour sessions right? Can't tell if you are making a positive point on your post or neg.
Just wondering how many years ago it was that you were at our school?
Thx Gary

Yes, I was making a positive point. I thought the price was very reasonable and I never felt neglected at any point by the instructors.
I did the beginner lessons about 8 years ago probably and the intermediate ones about 5 years ago? I can't really remember when. They were all at the Scarborough Family Golf Centre (I think that's what it was called).
