Is it the same flashlight as the ******** one? Looks like it. Or can their quality differ depending on who's making them?
In terms of build quality, I think they are all the same. Although they look the same from the outside, manufacturers install different generations of LED die. As far as I know, at <$5 price range, I have seen them with either XP-E (newer) or XR-E (older) LED.

Couldn't resist even if I already have an i4, ended up $13.93 CAD with the SK68 clone. If find the i4 too large to use as travel charger, the i2 will be a better fit. :)

Yeah, are people just using regular eneloops in these or are they using some of those 18650 batteries?

Yup, Eneloop (or any rechargeable AA) will do just fine. Since you also ordered a charger, you can try out those 14500 Li-ion batteries for maximum brightness ...

Be careful not to mix up the 14500 with the other AA-size batteries. Li-ion recharges have substantially higher voltage !!

18650 will not fit into these mini flashlights ... 14500 fits.

Yup - I've been using Eneloops on mine. I had a paid of 14500s from before with the cheap one battery charger - however they barely lasted

I'm wondering if you guys have a reliable source for 14500s? I'm looking at these ones from DX:
