In terms of build quality, I think they are all the same. Although they look the same from the outside, manufacturers install different generations of LED die. Yup, Eneloop (or any rechargeable AA) will do just fine. Since you also ordered a charger, you can try out those 14500 Li-ion batteries for maximum brightness ...
Be careful not to mix up the 14500 with the other AA-size batteries. Li-ion recharges have substantially higher voltage !!

Yup - I've been using Eneloops on mine. I had a paid of 14500s from before with the cheap one battery charger - however they barely lasted
