WW pasta is an "acquired taste" kind of thing. I didn't like it as much as "reg" pasta, but it grew on me to the point I now prefer it. Same thing with natural peanut butter, grew on me to where I prefer it.

I just returned from NF and saw lots of the pasta on a skid, when I read the $1.00 off coupon it was for "Grains First Crackers" not the pasta. Therefore this deal is not available at all locations. This skid of pasta not drawing any attention and when I asked the cashier about it, she wasn't familiar with another type of coupon for $1.00 off of 375 G Whole Wheat Catella Pasta.

I saw a coupon only on the penne whole wheat pasta at the Port Credit store. On the back, it says it's for egg white whole wheat pasta. Maybe if the cashier doesnt read it carefully, they will ring it in.

The $1.00 coupon that was on the pasta box has a picture of a box of Grains First Cookie, with the wording Crackers in large print so I don't see how the cashier will miss it. Also, if I were a cashier and the amount on the register came to basically $0.00, I believe I would recheck the coupon. Wouldn't you?

I mentioned this to a friend and he told me he coulf of sworn he heard on the news that some of the pasta was recalled due to some sort of issue with tainted wheat. He is seeing if he can find out the size or UPC so we can check if this is the pasta in question.

I just did some research and can confirm Kalel's post...I suggest returning all you bought right away unless you want food poisoning...I guess thats what you get for being paid to eat pasta

Borden Foods Canada enacts voluntary recall of Catelli 500g Ready-Cut Macaroni
Borden Foods Canada is recalling its Catelli brand Ready-Cut Macaroni product in the 500-gram size, sold under UPC code 64200-11647 (this code appears on the package under the bar code), and with the date code P8123 (this code is embossed on the end flap of the 500g package).
Borden Foods Canada has enacted the recall because some packages (with the specified date code) may contain small metal particles. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers who have purchased this product with this code should return it to the retail store from which it was purchased. Ready-Cut Macaroni with different date codes and other Catelli pasta products are not affected by this recall.
Consumers who have difficulty locating the UPC code or date code on the Catelli Ready-Cut Macaroni package may call Borden Foods Consumer Response at 1-877-727-8260 (toll-free) and be assisted by a consumer representative.
This particular product was distributed at retail stores in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and in limited stores in Ontario. Borden Foods Canada has notified retail stores that have received this product. All products with this date code have been withdrawn from the shelves of the appropriate retail stores.
Based on its internal investigation, Borden Foods Canada is confident this is an isolated situation. The company is working with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency regarding this issue.
