i called in, i told them my current premium with belair is lower than their quote so i wont be switching. then the rep gave me some bs saying how its impossible, and goes on saying that i didnt give the legit info. idk how a quotation could turn into an argument, but i better get that card

I called and they wouldn't give me the $25.00 gift card because they couldn't find my name in their system already, WTF? Did this happen to anyone else?

Yes, I called today and the rep said my account should have been in the system before I called. She said even if we do the quote and she will tell me that a $25 card would arrive in 6-8 weeks, once all requests are processed only those with accounts created in advance would receive a gift card.

Okay, so this thread really only pertains to those who got the notice in the mail. Otherwise it will NOT work for those trying to get in on the freebie without the mailer.

Weird, i didn't get the mailer and they're sending me the $25 GC
But i did do a quote with them in november so i was in their system already

Just called and got my quote, noticed that ppl were having trouble getting a quote b/c they were not part of a participating organization, so:

1.Called and immediately told them that I had received the mailer offer for the $25 quote (I really didn't though) and gave my name and number.

2.Told that I am not in the system. I tell them I have the mailer in front of me so I should be eligible.

3.Asked what professional group I am part of and I say Registered Nurse

4.I'm told they can't find that particular group but guy keeps looking.

5.Then I tell him I am part of the CNO, RANO, ONA groups which area all recognized bodies within the profession

6. Guy says here it is (Not sure which group popped up, try all 3)

7.Get my quote and specifically asked twice when I will get my Card. Told 6-8 weeks, so let's see if that actually happens.

I did the exact same thing but said I'm apart of PEO (professional engineers of ontario) which i really am.

PEO is a recognized organization with TD Melonche Monex

From my experience the quotes TD gives are pretty good compared to the usual suspects for car insurance. im with the personal which blew away their rates when i called in for this but hey - no hard feelings. hope i get the card too. i told them my undergrad school and they said that it was a recognised institution.

when the quote ended up being higher than my current premium she tries one last ditch effort "alot of other students at ure school sign up so why dont you?"
