Sorry, I didn't have time to move it yet. I have been traveling on my 18K gold plated balloon instead.

The giant yacht - still docked?
So a while ago I saw the giant yacht which I know know is called Calixe. I saw it about 2 weeks ago as well and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was still here/when it would be leaving?
If it's still here, is it docking at the same place (where)?
I'd like to try and get some pictures of it on a nice day!

Heh, the boat on the left looks like a little raft!

The concept of having to pay to dock your vessel is obviously a new thing for the majority of us so I wonder if it's possible to just throw the anker somewhere just off shore and shuttle yourself in with your little boat or in her case, flown in on her helicopter.
I mean, what do they charge for something like that large? $1,000 a day?
What about places like Florida where some people live on their boat? (Thanks, Miami Vice).

Here some info of Wendy McCaw (owner of that boat) who took the money to buy that yacht.

Divorce: $460 million plus- Craig and Wendy McCaw
Wendy McCawCraig McCaw’s fortune began when he turned the failing television cable service he inherited to a successful business. He eventually sold the it for $755 million. A visionary, he acquired cell phone licenses as early as 1981, which he was eventually able to sell to AT&T for $12 billion. He met his future wife before he made his billions when she tutored him at Stanford University. Their marriage lasted from 1974 until 1995. The settlement gave Wendy $460 million, enough to support her $200,000 per week lifestyle.

There was (don't know if it still is) a big yacht like this docked in Midland for quite some time. Rumours were that the owners were from New Zealand.
Really big, nice yacht - worth millions of dollars.
Might have been the same yacht._______________

I sometimes wonder if it would be feasible to own and use a CH-53 as a personal vehicle. It'd probably take a sizable investment to soundproof it and make it ride a little more comfortable, but at ~25 million each it'd still be a shitload cheaper to buy. I suspect the operating costs would probably be significantly lower too.
