what, no one thinks this is a great deal?? This model is TV of the year in some circles, like CNET. The best price seen so far for the 50" is $1148 (also Gibby's), $135 more with free shipping for the 55" rocks! (BB $1283)
If I were on the market for a higher end plasma I'd be all over this.
Though I expect BB won't do this deal without a fight- I'll wager that with the free shipping included, $1283 comes close to their cost.

The in stock guarantee is still on the BB site, just search for guarantee in the help/faq section. I am trying to determine if it might be worth waiting for black friday still, or to go for this.

I tried to PM in Ontario but they said they couldn't do it because they had none in their distribution center. I will try another location and get the additional $50 for not being in stock and free delivery. Has anyone been successful yet?

I PM'ed successfully at the BB at Sherway Gardens with no problem. They were going to honour the in-stock guarantee as well, but they ended up having one last one in stock (was on-hold for pickup, but no one showed after 3 days) so I ended up just taking it. Good deal for the best bang for your buck television for 2012.

So there is no more in stock at Sherway location ? :-) How do you like the new plasma?

I don't think so I'm afraid. The plasma is excellent. I was a bit wary as I live in a condo with big windows so it can get bright, but the louvre filter does an excellent job at reducing glare. At night and in dark situations is when the plasma really shines and the blacks are unbelievable.
