the Ronin S sounds very, heavy so as much as I crave DJI R&D prowess I'm afraid it wont be for me
nope, but can it beat what the Cranes' have already established?

I also recommend the Zhiyun Crane v2 because its easy to use and a more future proof solution. Check kijiji I have seen people selling it.

I was going to buy a Tilta G2X on eBay yesterday, but no attractive offers.

hope you got big guns...4.1 lbs before the rig even goes on means you won't be shooting for long nor will it be very travel friendly
I hope they release a mirrorless version next year that competes with the Crane-M...the features do seem incredible

I'm hoping it ships tomorrow. I set an order with Adorama when it first annouced.

Well, it supports a two handed grip with the included tripod stand.

I think it's going to be very useful for travel with the built in creative apps.

It weighs more due to the build quality and heavier motors. But in reality, only weights an extra 1.5 lbs more than other gimbals.

But yes, I've been working on my farmers walks to build up my triceps lol.

you make it sound like that's nothing..that's like another mirrorless body + lens in weight...the crane-M only weighs 1.6lbs lol...I also don't have to worry about using a pelican or that bulky ass DJI Styrofoam case...everything still fits into my Everyday Backpack 30L
any accessory over 1kg is too heavy for my type of traveling where I can be walking 10km+ daily

This is a first.

BH swooped in and made an exclusive deal to be the first retailer to sell the Ronin S.

They are shipping before DJi themselves.

Shot myself in the foot with an Adorama order. I'll see if Adorama or Henry's comes through first.

i'd rather see people give business to Adorama or Henry's or DJI direct

This is a bit old thread. Is there a new good lightweight gimbal for Sony RX100 M6 now? Crane M is not sold anymore. Is Crane v2 still considered the best?

I would look at the moza aircross. It supports almost 4lbs and you can even charge the camera and invert it. I believe it even auto calibrates and balances the gimbal when you press a button. I wished I had heard about this gimbal before I got the crane m.

Interesting. The manual has no mention of RX100, they call Sony "Alpha" and mention only the Alpha cameras but the website mentions the RX100 as compatible in the specs. I did not find any mention that it can control zoom. I guess the gimbal was designed for mirroless cameras, so zoom was irrelevant. Can your Crane M control zoom on the RX100?
