It's free so stop moaning.
They're constantly upgrading it with new features.
It's still in BETA.
I'll take it over snail-like hotmail any day of the week.

Yeah it was down for me today as well.... just as i need to retrieve a doc for my ass't due tomorrow. What a blast that was.
Haven't really experienced downtime with hotmail tho, so I dont know what you people are bitching about. People talk about gmail as if its the best thing since sliced bread. It really ain't *that* great.

Gmail so far is fantastic, but I don't presume it will always be fantastic.

gmail is awesome. What I would love is if they had a calendar so you can enter appointments, a file storage area, and an address book. Strangest thing though... I've never noticed a single advertisement in gmail before. Weird.

My GMail goes down several times a week in the middle of the afternoon, but since I am on the other side of the world from you, that would be early morning for you. I am guessing they are doing maintenance or upgrading as they are frequently wont to do.

I've been using gmail for almost two years now and I have yet to encounter a problem (except in the first month when they first launched it, it was really bad then)
Before this I used hotmail and I can honestly say that gmail is 150% better than hotmail

It's down from time to time. Not as reliable as hotmail or yahoo. However, it can still receive e-mail when down though. So it's perfectly fine for me

I have experienced quite a few outages too, but not lasting over ten to twenty minutes. It is annoying compared to others who provide better uptime albeit with less storage space.
By the way, I find that Gmail does not calculate the storage space accurately... Perhaps it includes all of the overhead space in the calculation of the total used storage space. I have already gone through two Gmail accounts...
By the way, you cannot delete more than one hundred e-mail messages at the same time with Gmail. I am pretty sure that it should be relatively easy to add.
And why does Gmail always put signatures at the bottom of a quoted message? The signature should go between the reply and the quoted material.
