GMAIL + Telus dialup = no internet connection!!??
I need help. I can't seem to log onto my telus dialup internet connection and the only thing I remember changing/adding is my gmail account. I setup gmail so that it would download onto my local drive. Right after I changed it, it seemed to work ok but now i can't even log onto my internet connection at all. Is there any setting I can tweak or will I have to go back to hotmail or get my gmail via their website.

Your gmail shouldn't be affecting your internet connection, only your mail (POP3) connection. Can you still surf the web? If not, it's probably an issue with Telus.

I doubt it, though who knows? What you've essentially done is configure your mail program to fetch mail from Google's servers. This *should* not affect your browser or your dial-up connection properties at all, unless you've made another change outside of your mail program. Anything else you might have changed, but forgot about?
