Going to Grove City for a night
aside from checking out millcreek mall which isnt too far from there. any other recommendations you guys can make? i did a search and found some relevant stuff. we're staying about 20 minutes away at the park inn by raddisson. food places, discounts, coupons, things to see, etc? if it makes any difference, we're leaving reading week weekend.

On our last visit to Grove City, we stayed at Holiday Inn Express next o Park Inn. We went to Hickory Bar & Grille for dinner (not too far from the hotel) which was really good. I would definitely recommend that place.

I didn't think the deals were all that good, at least at Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren and Timberland. The Bose stuff was also only slightly discounted. Nothing that was worth a 5 hour drive from Toronto. I pass through there on business trips to Pittsburgh all the time - what do people buy at Grove City?

We were just there at the end of January - it took us 3.5 hrs each way (from Oakville). A lot of places were getting rid of their winter stuff with net discounts ranging from 50%-75% off. We got some great deals on clothing and shoes - no sales tax helps even more. Timing wise we lucked out as there was zero wait at the border coming and going and the outlet mall was very quiet and there was lots of selection. I HATE shopping but the trip allowed me to get a lot of stuff I needed in one fell swoop. We exceeded our exemption but the Cdn border guard just let us through.
You're right though - the Bose store there is nothing special. You get much better prices back home when things go on sale at BB or FS and there are a lot of "outlet" stores that are just a waste of time (e.g. Nike, Columbia, Adidas, etc.)
We had a dinner at Primanti Brothers which is right at the entrance to the mall. Apparently there's some sort of "Pittsburgh Sandwich" that is a local/regional specialty but we never tried it.
