Been golfing for a while. Haven't noticed any difference between expensive or cheap balls. Bought a bag of mix used balls from Walmart 4 years ago and still have more than half the bag as I tend to find more balls than I lose :)

Forget about strokes, this is exactly how my father in law defines whether or not he had a good round.

In my experience, expensive or cheap, they both sink just as fast in water.

I love my Pro V1x but at this price might try a box. Any idea if they Z Star or the XV would play closer to the Pro V1x?

My wife likes fancy balls. She buffs them real good and takes good care of them. So I give her what she wants. Different strokes for different folks I guess...

Happy wife, happy life! Thanks OP.

The Q star tour is a great ball. Excellent spin off wedges and great flight off drivers. Don’t let the other people on this thread deter you. If you can’t tell a difference between good and bad balls, then you can play crap balls. But if you are a decent golfer and can shape your shots, these are on par with Pro V’s and Pantas.

Thanks OP. I'm an (honest) bogie golfer and actually like Srixon balls. I do, however, adhere to the Duffer's Motto: "The difference between an expensive ball and a cheap ball is the amount of time you spend looking for it." Winking Face

XV is closer to Pro V1x

Sportchek also has the same sale.

Seems cheaper at Sportchek - $24 for the Z Stars & XVs

They are cheaper at Sportchek. $23.99/dozen.
If you spend $125 then you can use promo code “PayPal” and pay with PayPal to save an additional $25. Add in 4% ebates and it works out to $21.5/dozen all-in (after taxes). Hard to beat that for a new 3-piece ball!

Sportchek is definitely the better deal if you buy 6 dozen Z Stars and use the "PayPal" promo code. You actually don't even need to use Paypal for payment, just use the promo code!

XV would be closer to the 1X. Z star closer to the Pro V. These are great balls. Bought 2 dozen Z star and two dozen XV.

Sport chek definitely a better deal if you're willing to buy 6 dozen. Only difference is the Golftown ones are 2018 and Sport Chek 2017. Should be the same although the 2018 will obviously have a little longer shelf life.

...but if you don't want the Z stars (I'm not THAT good), the GT deal is solid (plus I have GT giftcards to use)
