by dead. you mean machine are powered up but no able to boot in operating system, right?
what are the specs of your system? such as CPU, RAM, Video card, Hard drive, etc.

gone
i have 2 non working cpus
i think the hard drive on both are dead, but the drives are still working
i am in thornhill
