The good and bad side of Valentine's Day

Met a lovely lady Summer of 1995, at the time I thought.
I thought we were a pretty good match, enjoyed her company and she mine.
As relationships go, not perfect, but was good enough for me, to take the next step.
I proposed to her at her parents home on Christmas Day 1996.
To make the story short we married the following Valentine's Day, that was the good side.
Bad side, Divorced almost two years to the day,
actually a couple days short of our 2nd anniversary on Valentine's Day.

Damn, it's scary how things end up down the road, eh? I think I'm going to ditch the whole marriage scenario and become a monk and just meditate this life away.
