Is this a good deal? CLA 250 Benz Question

Getting through a private sale a 2018 CLA 250 Mercedes Benz Coupe with premium package,
Purchased Jan 31 2018, and selling because of moving for 32,000 + tax.
Or i could get for the same price, a CLA 250 Benz 4matic but 2017.

The final purchase with all the extras was 41,000+ tax. Is it a fairly warm deal?

For the 18, I say $30,000 - $30,500 + taxes would be ideal. $32,000 is premium pricing

There are big factory incentives offered for this car in the last few months ... I guess due to poor sales. I had a loaner and it did not drive like a mb, more like a corolla . Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

From Consumer Reports.

"Don't let the three-pointed star confuse you. Most mainstream sedans, let alone a typical Mercedes-Benz, deliver a better experience than the CLA. The engine and transmission lack refinement. At first the powertrain feels unresponsive, then the power comes on abruptly. The ride is punishingly stiff, and the CLA is loud inside. Cabin access is difficult, and the well-appointed interior is cramped. The heavily promoted base price is something of a tease; buyers need to spend a lot on options to get the luxury features expected on a premium model. Prices can crest the $50,000 range for the 375-hp AMG CLA45 version, which sounds more exciting on paper than it feels behind the wheel. The CLA's best attributes are its handling agility and the 28 mpg overall we got from the 2.0-liter, turbo four-cylinder engine."

"The sleek and compact CLA250 is Mercedes' entry-level, front-drive, compact, four-door coupe. It has a nicely-finished cabin and fuel economy of 28 mpg is respectable. But the driving experience falls well short of a typical Mercedes. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder and seven-speed automatic lack refinement. It's quick, but power delivery is uneven. While fairly agile, the car rides stiffly. The cabin is noisy and cramped, especially in the rear, the view out is seriously impaired, and access is difficult both front and rear. Standard features include power front seats with memory, Bluetooth, forward-collision warning and a folding rear seat. The optional blind-spot monitoring system is an easy choice, as is the backup camera. All-wheel drive is also optional. The high-performance, 355-hp CLA45 tops the range. The 2016 models got an upgraded infotainment system with a larger standard screen and media interface capability,as well as standard dual-zone automatic climate control and keyless start."

Cannot comment what this 17 has in options / packages to justify $32k + taxes asking.

The 2018 one that is only 5 months old has 3 free maintenance at 20000 intervals, 4 year factory warranty + 3 years extended, and premium package. Its not fully loaded, so navigation. No sunroof etc.
thats about it. I saw her purchase receipt was dated early Feb and it was for 41,000+tax all in.

The 2017 is a 4matic coupe, probably premium plus package. with some factory warranty and extended. but no prepaid maintenace free x3. and listed from the dealer for 32888+tax.

Is CLA250 the one you get (or used to until the closed down in TO) with car2go? If so, it's a steaming pile of shit car. Don't buy it.

Wait until he has to pay for some M-B parts and then he will never buy another M-B. Live and learn.

No if the person has money for it.
There is a lot of wealthy people who doesn't care the product, but just want to get the higher end stuff even tho they may not need/enjoy it.

Well if you're wealthy, might as well buy a nicer MB. Even if you don't care about the drive, the interior is still better. The seats on CLA250 are like rocks.

Wealthy doesn't mean to have driving skill neither. They can't control a bigger car, so CLA or A class if it has to be MB.

I bought it just updating everybody. But ya I feel ya about the parts price which is why I would only consider this with the warranty which it had 4 factory and 3 extended

I’m on the tinier side so actually the car doesn’t feel small or cramped to me. But I am not liking the blind spot becuz of the coupe windows

Oops sorry yah I bought the 2018 for 31,500. I figured even in 2 -3 years it wouldn’t depreciate too too much if I did decide to sell

Liking it so far but shocked there is no spare tire
