[Fitness Depot] Good Deal P90X Pullup Bar $48.88 at Fitness Depot

More offers from Fitness Depot
If you're in the market for a higher end pullup bar this P90x bar should be good for you. Doesn't require screwing anything into your wall.

Just bought this today from a fitness depot in Thornhill, $48.88, I'd say a decent deal. It's a nofrills version, no ads or tony horton on the cover, but should be the real deal since Fitness depot is reputable. I just built it and t's pretty solid. Deal should be nationwide, and you can order online, but going in store would be better to skip shipping fees.

It's $59.85 USD (+$14.95 s&h) at Beachbody.com, and $75-100 USD on Amazon.com

You'd better call first though for stock, they recommend pre-ordering since they go pretty fast.

Well I've seen and tried both, unless theirs a slight difference in the type of steel alloy, its the same. Grip design and everything. I did mention this is the nofrills version.

I've been looking for a pullup bar/power tower for quite a while. That one sounds good, but I'm very weary of the door trim ones.

This the best one I've seen for sale.

The usual price is actually $20 bucks more

I have one, works great.

I wouldn't ever buy a door trim one either. One day the trim will break, and you'll knock yourself unconscious.

They had something similar at Winners (401 and McCowan) for 24.99$. Seemed like an okay deal.

I thought fitnessdepot.ca closed down a few months ago? The treadmillfactory.ca sell the same chin up bar and puts it on special from time to time.

I have this one... note that it allows you to use a wide-grip for lat pull-downs. It's really good!

Thanks, it looks good, I'll keep it in mind.

weird, I was lookingfor this earlier in the year and my local fitness depot said they opted not to carry it (it can tend to mess up trim) I've had a good experience.

I bought one of those Power Gym's when they were clearing out at AsSeenOnTV, $10. No problem using it but it doesn't sit flusn on the inside above the trim due to it's poor design, like a diamond, not a flat square along the length of the bar.

How is the Power Gym one that is bundle with P90X DVD at Costco.ca?

These are definitely less expensive, but you can't do the wide grip on these... note that you'd need to be gripping the bar where it rests against the door frame!

The horizontal bar on the Treadmill Factory one is also one piece. I think I saw the "As-Seen-on-TV" one and it was two separate pieces... not sure if that is a real issue.

Uhhh... yeah... my bad - it was late :) pull-up/pull-down - just relatively speaking and who's moving.

not only can you not do wide grips on the power gym but they are also not angled like the p90x bar. it hurts the wrists more as it is not as comfortable
