Good resource for learning PHP and MySQL
Looking for a good learning resource - either online or hardcopy - for both PHP and MySQL. I'm not a developer, but have general knowledge of html and programming. Looking for something not too dense, but to give me a good background and also an understanding of syntax (a concise "cheat-sheet" of commands would be ideal).
I have a weather station which records data on temperature (indoor and out), humidity, rain, windspeed, etc and has the capability of storing that data in a MySQL database. I'd like to be able to write some PHP web pages where myself (and others) could access this data and slice and dice the data in different ways (eg: what was the rainfall for June, what was the highest temperature over the summer, etc).
If anyone could suggest a good (and cheap - as I don't plan on making a career of this) resource I'd appreciate it._______________
No more lodgers - more trouble than they're worth!
