Good Restaurants In or Near Downtown Ottawa?
Does anybody know of any decent restaurants in or around Downtown Ottawa? It's more or less just so my boyfriend and I can have a decent meal and sit down to talk.
I'm certainly not talking about fast food, but we do not want to pay $30 + tax + tip each, either.
Also, if it's a place that's open somewhere between 8 and 9PM on a weekday, that'd be great. Thanks.

If you like pizza, I love the pizza at Colonnade Cafe: http://www.colonnadepizza.com/new/index.html
If it isn't too far, I also recommend The Canal Ritz:

Jericho restaurant on bank st is nice.
It is lebanese/middle eastern food but they have specials like eggplant parmesan 2 days ago (was ok dish), the spanokopita there is good, home made and not really arabic but really good.
It is not the typical yucky "fast food" shawarma place and appatizers like hummous are around $5 ea and a combination platter is around $13 and enough of a snack for 2 people or 1 hungry person.
The owner of the restaurant also does paintings on glass and he hdecorates the whole restaurant with them, so it is very pretty.
Even if you are not hungry, I reccomend checking out the artwork.
I know the owner, but was going there even when he is not there also and the service is always good.
It is a very cozy affordable restaurant and I see a lot of couples there and also just people eating for coffee and desserts.
Oh I also saw they have a 2 for 1 in the entertainment book.
So it is even better of a deal!
They are not open super late though only till 10pm .
I also have to add I have been unable to eat at the Canal Ritz- ever since I had a family dinner in the summertime and they left all the doors or windows of the place open and there was some birds walking around the restaurant (we were the only family there at the time),
that was pretty off putting.
Not to mention the bland off putting ceasar salad.
