Good time to buy a 160gb ipod?
Is it a good time to buy an ipod? Are they planning on releasing a new version or a bigger one anytime soon? Dont want to buy one and have a new version come out in the summer. Thanks

It is really hard to know when the next ipod or iphone or any apple product is going to come out. I don't think the 160 GB will be outdated for a while, they might come out with a 250 gig or sometime in the future, but no one can know when.

WWDC is next month, that's when the 3G iPhone should be announced/released.
I wouldn't be surprised if they updated the iPods with bigger storage next month either.

When I need/want to buy an Apple product, I go take a look at the following site before making a decision: http://buyersguide.macrumors.com (According to them, no, it's not a good time).
It's usually well connected and kept up to date.
Have fun.

From the rumors They are updating the Iphone first this year and then followed by the Ipod Touch.
The Ipod Classic and Nano has no plans to change this year.
The only thing that might happen is depending on how they price the Iphone/Touch it might bring down the prices of the Classic/Nano
