As I pointed out in the other thread, it the prices today using the BLACKFRIDAY code is what their selling for for blackfriday, you're not saving any money. The VISA code will save you a fair bit more ($100 more for my configuration). You would have saved even more a month ago. Its totally random with them.

does the link to the site work for you? i've been trying since about 10:30pm on Nov 22 until now (Nov 23 approx 2am) and the link just takes me to Lenovo home page for Canada (www.lenovo.com/ca/en). It doesn't ask for the password at all.... Did they take down the website for black friday?

Anyway, i'll try in the morning again.

You are right. Was tracking the price of T530 with 1920 display and intel 4000 video card (for widi), if I remember correctly, the price was around $900 few weeks ago, but the same configuration costs $200 more.

Well, the site is back up, looks like they took down the employee part of the site for updates last night.....

Is the Edge E530 deal with i5-3210M and Win 8 a good price? They are asking for $564.
I know the screen resolution is only 1366x768 but thats not such a deal breaker for me since this will be used as a general purpose laptop around the house... Maybe I should go with the i3 CPU if its just a general purpose laptop?

Lenovo twist all the way!
Specs aside bc I don't know much about them, but the twist is one of the most hideous laptops I've ever seen.

I was hoping for X series deals
Ditto. I was hoping to get a good deal on the X230 with the IPS display. Whew. I saved some money today.
...remember, second place is really just first loser.

So sad 8-(

Bought a T530 less than a month ago. I decided to forgo the video card because it was an extra $250, but I paid pretty much what was in the FP without it!

Great machine, if you're not sure of the build quality, etc, it's still very good. After sales support though...don't ask.
Every Lenovo customer has a 3-week post purchase period for a price match provided the specs are identical. See if you could save like 50 bucks or so.

I picked one up yesterday. It actually looks and feels great. Granted, I had my reservations when I looked at the photos too, but I'm glad I got it

if you dont mind the weight at about 5.4 - 6.0 lbs or the fact that its fairly large with the 9 cell protruding I believe and you're not gaming much more than Medium settings Starcraft 2 or so, its a VERY hot deal
