Good Video Game Shops in Vancouver/Lower Mainland?
I'm going to be in the lower mainland area for the weekend of the 23rd - used to love frequenting Microplay in Surrey but apparently it no longer exists. =(
Any recommendations from GVR peeps as far as import/retro gameshop recommendations go?
Thanks ^^

I remember them - do they still sell retro?
Any other recommendations from anyone? Is Microplay really gone?

Should've rephrased - is the location that was mIcroplay, seeing as it's no longer listed as one, still there as a game store?
Seeing as you're in Burnaby - any good shops in Metrotown?

Willow was the best... too bad the Richmond location shut down.
I bought/traded almost all my SNES games there.
Nothing really in Metrotown... of course there's EBG everywhere. I remember a Microplay in Coquitlam (near BB) but that went under. Same with the one on Burrard.
All the stores near me can't seem to survive.
Needless to say, I hardly buy/sell retro games anymore. I'm not paying $40 for PP'ed N64 games at EBG.

Seems the lower mainland isn't anythign of what it was for retro/import back in 2000, when I would walk into Microplay and buy myself a birthday present of NiGHTS sealed for $20, orgo through their collection of decent Genesis/SEGA CD games....le sigh. Well, at least Willow Video is still around.
Oh well, at least the weather will be better than here in Calgary.

Microplay isn't there in Surrey enymore, but there is a different Video Game Trade-in store in the same unit of the building. I just can't remember it's name.

willow in langley seems to be your best bet
OR "a moment in time" (i think it was called that) (trying to get a definitive answer on the name, will repost if i find out different) in aldergrove usually has good stock of old games... cash only last i was there though... (was 6 months ago, they coulda gone tits up by now)
it is right on the main drag, right hand side if coming along fraser highway from 264th
also, toy traders in langley, near princess auto, besides the amazing amount of toys, has a decent video game wall.

There's one in New West, easily walking distance of the skytrain.

From a "Family" reviewer: "We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work."
From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."

Hi. Oh wait, sfu_lifer already said what I was going to.
If there's anything specific you're looking for, email me and I'll set it aside.
P.S. If you're here on a weekday, I'll be at the store and I can point you in the right direction for whatever you need, otherwise Jen will be here on the weekend._______________
