Tiger direct has the Netgear for $19. You can't go wrong, it's bulletproof.

Everybody giving idea of very basic cheap routers?
What do u think about following
Dlink Ac1000 for 49.99
Netgear ac1200 for 69.99 on future shop flyer.
Which one is best or any other good suggestions!

+1 for the N66U. Just bought 2 for my work. Great range, stock firmware is great and DD-WRT installed effortlessly. Currently have it configured as 2 separate routers (2 ssid's and 2 networks with no cross communication on one router).

N66U is good, but isn't AC66U better? I am looking to get a good router, as well.
Intel 2600K @ 4.5Ghz / 8GB
Asus P8P67 DELUXE / Asus GTX 780

Yes, get the ac66u for future proofing. I got one a couple of weeks ago and upgraded the wlan card in my laptop to support ac yesterday. Getting 300mbps real world speeds over wireless now!

Haven't seen any decent routers in the flyers. Crossing fingers for ME sale.

Depends on your use.
A simple N router, dual band, AC router to start?

The next router I would like to buy is an AC68U, it outperforms the AC66U, has USB3 (vs 2 on the 66), and has a better CPU for VPN. Not cheap, regular price is >$220.

However for most, an N66U is a solid router for people who have multiple devices in a home environment and would like to dedicate some on the 5GHz band. If you find one $100-120, that's a RFD good price.

To enable >2TB on the USB port, I believe you will need to update the FW to Merlin or other, unless Asus has enabled it with their own FW.

Sorry first post.

You can PM the AC1000 with ME. It isn't approved yet, but it will bring the total to 41.24 + taxes.

Netgear is a much better quality. Al the Dlink routers had problems with easy hacking (backdoor) in the recent past. Netgear and Asus are the best.
