Please be gentle if I messed anything up as this is my first post. I just noticed the Google Pixel 2 XL is $200 off at the Google Store at the moment and it doesn't look like anyone has posted it here. When you go to the link it defaults to the non-XL which is not on sale but then just change it to the XL and you'll see the discount

A for effort, but you can get a certified pre owned one at Koodo for $480 plus taxes essentially, or spend a bit more to get new. Yes, that's the XL model.

Unfortunately, it's cold, but good on you for trying!
Please do not PM me with requests for assistance, unless I PM you first, or if I give you permission to. That's what the forums are for!

The only way to do that is take a hit to your credit score which is moronic and not a deal in the slightest. The OPs deal is much better

Be aware that the new Pixel 3 line is expected to show up in October 2018.
You can get cheaper Pixel 2s now but you'll be a generation out of date in 2 months.

Why is it moronic?
If your credit score is in the 700s and you don't plan to apply for any credit product in the next 6-12 months, it makes sense to save the couple of hundred.
I'm pretty sure even if your score is in the mid to high 600s, you can get approved with cell phone providers.

Because that credit hit affects you for years, not months. This can mean the difference between being approved for a car, bank account, mortgage etc.... all for saving a few dollars on a phone that will be hundreds cheaper in just a years time. It's stupid.

If you have an account with koodo already it won't be a credit hit if you add a new line to current account

It's better to be fully informed before posting on public forums, than knowing a tid-bit, here and there.

The people dumb enough to do that are the minority. Most people understand why it isn't advisable
