RIP. I would. $1000 for an android better be perfect. It's going to drop in value by 40% by next April.

I've seen some people on the googlepixel sub-reddit say they've been RMAing and getting new units with the same speaker problems.

Is anyone else who pre-ordered still getting screwed around with phone delivery dates?

The 128GB Just Black that I ordered on Oct 9 got bumped back to Nov 27-28. My stand arrived last week. I guess I'll just look at it for the next three weeks.

I ordered on Oct 29 for 128GB Black Pixel 3, my ETA is Dec 11-12. All other colours were ETA Nov 6 at that time.

"Charging rapidly" it definitely isn't on the google stand (1% in 7 minutes - from 57% to 58%). Also phone is getting quite hot all the time.

Edit: now it says "60% - charging rapidly (1hr., 39 min. until full). That's called "rapidly"?.
Edit2: 61% charging rapidly - 2 hours until full

To make it clear - I even took the case off the phone to see if that would make a difference.

The thing that bothers me is they said the same thing about Pixel 2 / XL and then issued a software "fix"... Problem is -- it still sounds terrible compared to every other flagship. Not a deal killer, I am still very happy with my Pixel 2 XL overall, but still quite annoying.

I am sitting this gen out. Hope they can address all current deficiencies in Pixel 4, may be add a 2-lens camera with optical zoom to the back. A few small tweaks could make it the best smartphone on the market without any compromises.

Did you read the specs? The regular charger is 18 Watts. The wireless charger is 10 Watts.

Wireless charging will be half the speed of the wall charger.

There's still something weird going on with @Saniokca's situation. The amount of time to a full charge is *increasing* as time goes on.

It's wireless, you expect fluctuations. The temperature of the room can cause a change. Not sure what the appeal of wireless charging is. It is by nature inefficient. Rated at 10 watts, I would be really impressed if you can get 5 watts of electricity

Yeah, I never really understood the appeal of wireless charging either TBH. Anywhere that I'm setting my phone down on a wireless charging plate, I could also just have a wired charger there - and it's usually cheaper to get spare wired chargers, and they charge faster and more reliably. So yeah, I've saved myself the "hassle" of having to plug my charging cable in, but with most phones having either USB-C or lightning ports now, it's not like you even have to worry about the dreaded "try it three times to get it inserted right side up" issues that you'd have with micro-usb back in the day.

Wireless charging isn't a deal breaker for me. It is nice to have it for free, I wouldn't paying for it anyway.
$35/5Gb & $40/6Gb - Kodoo
$40/4.5Gb & $120/120Gb/90days - Public Mobile
