How foolish to relinquish control of when you can play your games to Google, which can be withdrawn from you at a moment's notice. No way, no how.

That's expect. This isn't geared towards console gamers imo.
It's geared towards the former console gamer and casual gamers like myself.

In any case I think it will fail, the subscription price is to high.
I don't get why people are saying that the subscription is what will kill it. I know a lot of people who will just go on the free tier and that 1080p is good enough for them not to care to sub.

Well other casual gamer could be interested to know about it.

I couldn't care less whether people like it or not.
Your thread is a day late, is what he means: Stadia

This article talks about it:
https://www.pcgamesn.com/stadia/stadia-input-lag

Someone who played estimates lag at 166ms. Yes, this will definitely get you killed more often in competitive games.
The opposite is true. People will see you in the game in one spot, but on your computer, you've already moved somewhere else. Bad ping is actually a strategy in Rainbow Six Siege (annoyingly)

We should get paid $12/month for having our data stolen by Google, not the other way around lmaoFace With Stuck-out Tongue And Tightly-closed Eyes

Didn't realize there is a free tier! That's awesome, yeah I'm in.

So....how about deleting your thread then??
People can't delete their own threads. Just report it as a duplicate, mods will sort it out.

Was reading an article on this.. "Stadia 4K streaming will use up 1TB of data in 65 hours"

Might want to check your internet plan monthly bandwidth before jumping on this.

Just a question - why are people saying this is only for casual gamers?

Sounds like stadia will have games that you stream instead of using consoles and hardware at top resolution. I mean if they pull off the streaming well, why wouldn't hardcore gamers wanna play?

I'm just curious. Ofc the issue of them taking our data and then then the pricing of monthly subscription and stream lag etc could make this a fail.

$10USD a month plus paying for games too? I've already got an xbox one x where I play with all my friends. I can't imagine getting everybody to swap platforms, so this is gonna be a pass from me, dawg.

I really really hope that we don't move into subscription based gaming, like I know it won't go fully into subscription based but even if it ends up being the majority way it's going to suck. We'll end up paying more, and then imagine all these main companies creating their own subscription service like how EA, Ubisoft have it, they'll be too many services to keep up with

Can't wait for google to abandon this like they've done with many other things, and then for the users to be left with basically no games lol.
