There are very few and they vary by province. Unfortunately, we don't seem to do much to try to support our most vulnerable.

Which province is the person in?
Did they ever work in Canada and pay CPP premiums? If so, there is a chance for CPP disability. If they never paid into CPP, though, that's a dead end.

You can read through the list and the links on the Government of Canada website at
https://www.canada.ca/en/financial-cons ... efits.html

I'm afraid it won't be happy reading.

Rdsp is a federal one that gives very generous grants for investing money tax sheltered.
In my experience... the only ones who seem to benefit from this are people who have family or spousal support. Single disabled people with no family support have a tough time with a limited disability check or reduced working ability.

In B.C , it's 1200 a month, with full prescription coverage . People on Disability are allowed to make up the 800$ on top of that.

Live in Ontario. They are currently working, job let's them work from home which has been a huge plus.

Was looking at the home office tax break and RDSP. They have limited mobility but can operate a computer so will continue to work.

To qualify for an RDSP you first have to apply for and be approved for the Disability Tax credit as well.
