Gran Turismo 4, is it out at pacific mall or first markham?
first off, i will buy this game when it is finally released in north america, in the INDEFINATE future. heck im even up on the pre-order.
since i know the dual layer disc is outin some shops in HK, im wondering if anyone knows if the backup is released in pac mall or "similar" venues...
cheers to anyone that knows.

I heard on the forum that it is out at pacific mall, but HIGHLY overpriced. I find that Play Asia has good prices on import games. They've got GT4. They've got other versions of it too (Listed on that page)

This one ? It's $64. $120 is the "combo price". dunno why they have a combo listed on the same game
(well different version of the same game)
Hehe, I know what you mean (the ones at pacific mall). I think they're charging a lot since it's in high demand. Anyone have an update on the price there?
They were talking about it a bit here /gran-turismo-4-a-127221/

yeah, the deal is with all those shops in pac mall or any other chinese plaza is:
1, they are all connected or interconnected and share each others stock, hence they can't be busted by the cops when its only illegal to have like 1000 copies or whatever of bootleg it is per title.
2, these stores have been riding-high with super fat profits as they simply download the image and then burn it on a disc that is like what, 50 for $15 blanks? plus they get them in bulk.. so when ur paying $10+ per game, its a sweet $9.50+ in profts
so now, when a dual-layer blank is say $15, they still want to make that nice $10 profit, + recover any losses they had from burning all those dual-layer blanks that didn't work because the rips were nuked.
ever notice why in any chinese mall, there are almost always more than 1 ps2 shop?
i have a few friends in japan now that are willing to post me a JDM copy in the mail but bootlegs are super rare there and i don't want to shell out 2x for the north american version that i can fully understand.
anyone have any pals in HK that can send back an envelope of pressed HK silvers in single disc baggies? I hear its going for mad cheap ~$1-$2 canadian.. including shipping, the price can't be more than $10/disc
im totally thinking the delay for the north american version has to be
1. marketing team-ups like the nike limited edition
2. song selection for the north american audience (and other regions)
or both, or more..........

i hate it
i hate the american version songs. they are really really crappy compared to the japanese ones. hard metal compared to the good jazz in GT2.
