I think most people find a solid colour tee too plain and simple so other than making their own design.. they support bands, brands, designs and teams they like. I wouldn't really call it a trend but a conformity?

Graphic Ts/Shirts
What's the deal with the hot trend of having a huge company mascot/logo plastered over your chest; be it a polo shirt or a t-shirt or hoodie? I think it looks so tacky.
I bought some clothes from AE and Abercrombie and the ones with huge logos really turn me off or seem to project this teens look. If you're in college or nearing 30s and you wear this, you should be tarred and feathered.
Is it so they can advertise to the world that they can afford a $50 t-shirt? "Hey, look, a caribou... I just bought a $50 Hanes/Fruit of the Loom T-shirt" !Last edited by Emancipated; Sep 14th, 2008 at 07:49 PM.

Well it certainly isn't a new trend. It pretty much comes down to liking something enough to want to wear it on your chest. Simple as that. Sure some people are trying to show off, but sometimes people may just like the logo design. Also, companies make these shirts because they are cash cows, despite most consumers openly stating their dislike for logo print garments, they are often the ones that sell the best. I don't really see a big problem with it, depends on how you pull it off. I'm not the biggest fan of logo shirts, but thats not to say I don't have a few of them in my closet. Sometimes, these companies come out with some clever designs..
great example of a good logo top.
