Great clips usually has an unadvertised deal where you can buy a gift card worth 5 haircuts at an average of $9.99+tax/cut.
I like great clips because of their mobile app that let's you check in and see the current wait times. Not having to wait for a haircut is amazing. What's even more amazing is walking in and having your name called for your haircut despite 5 others that were waiting there and arrived before you lol.

Better than First Choice.
One of these I think just opened up nearby. It's kind of hidden but for anyone in NW Mississauga it's beside the Superstore and Tim Hortons on Argentia/Winston Churchill._______________

Not just 5 haircuts...you can put as much as you want on the card, and each haircut is $9.99. So if you put $100 on the card, you're essentially prepaying for 10 haircuts @ $9.99 each.
Totally agree with you on the convenience of online check-in and being able to see estimated wait time. There's around 3 locations that I rotate between, and I tend to pick based on lower wait time.

I am pretty sure it is company policy but I cannot confirm 100%.
The girl at FC told me about it a year or two ago and told me what competitor coupons to watch out for that give the best price
I have since seen official corporate signs posted on the door or front window of may locations.
