I am one of the people delayed. Mine was so they could investigate if I am getting money for the same thing (windows in my case) from different programs (whether it be gas company program or some other program I don't even know about). It must automatically flag the application if they have any record of any other rebate program, then it must be manually investigated which adds 1 to 2 months. Mine was approved, awaiting payment since July 25 (submitted may 23) and was finally changed to paid yesterday. So basically 5 months from when submitted to paid.

Here is the timeline on my GreenON rebate application:

10/25/2018 Paid (Sent e-mail to GreenON to inquire when cheque will be issued on 10/24/2018)
10/18/2018 Approved Awaiting Payment
10/9/2018 Awaiting Payment Approval
10/5/2018 Submitted
9/26/2018 Revisions Needed - 27R: The address provided on the proof of purchase submitted does not match the online incentive form.
8/28/2018 Submitted
8/28/2018 Pending

Based on the last update, the cheque should now be in the mail. No idea when it will arrive considering the on-going rotating strike at Canada Post.

I wonder how many daredevils are waiting for next week for an install? If an installer has a bad hair day, poof goes the rebate.

My timeline is the most entertaining...

10/30/2018 Cancelled
10/25/2018 Declined
10/4/2018 AwaitingPaymentApproval
9/6/2018 Submitted
9/6/2018 Pending

GreenON automatically cancelled my $5000 window rebate because I had applied for, and received, rebates for separate renos through the Union Gas program (skylights, patio door, furnace, air sealing).

Now I have to place repeated calls and e-mails to get in touch with a supervisor at GreenON to explain that the rejection is in error since I did not claim any of the windows through Union Gas. After contacting Union Gas, it seems this error is being made for all applications by households who also received rebates for different, unrelated renos through Union Gas. They are working of correcting this, but I have still not been able to speak with any supervisors at GreenON. Sigh...

Got my cheque! From attic insulation installation to cheque received - a bit under 4 months.

This was a red hot deal. I had about R30 filled to R60. Just looking at my Nest thermostat statistics, it seems there's a longer interval between the AC turning on. The biggest difference was the temperature variation between first and second floors. They are much more consistent now. Previously you could have a cool first floor in the summer and as you walked up the stairs it was like climbing into a sauna.

I went though this same scenario. Submitted May 23 and got my cheque Oct 30...it was held up because I had my furnace replaced through the Enbridge program and they had to investigate the situation. Anyways...after many phone calls and emails, it was straightened out and I finally got my cheque so there is light at the end of the (very long) tunnel! On a side note, I still have not recieved my Enbridge cheque....

Edit: I found that emailing greenon was more successful than calling. It took about 2 weeks for a response, but they did respond whereas I never recieved a call back from a supervisor even though they kept telling me someone would call.

Thanks. Did you have to provide proof directly to GreenON showing which rebates you submitted for via Enbridge? I received this e-mail back from GreenON--the problem is I didn't receive any such invoice from Union Gas indicating which rebates I had received. E-mails to Union Gas have thus far resulting in nothing...

Dear XXX,
We recently informed you that your GreenON Rebates application had been declined since you had received a rebate from your local gas company for your project. In accordance with the terms and conditions of our program, participants are not allowed to receive more than one rebate for the same installed measure.
However, if you can provide a copy of the invoice from your local gas company to show that the rebate you are applying for under the GreenON Rebates program is not for the same project for which you received a rebate from the gas company, we will be able to process your GreenON Rebates application, provided all program requirements are met.
Please email your supporting documentation to rebatepayments@greenON.ca by November 30, 2018, or call GreenON Support at 1-888-728-8444, prompt #1.
Sincerely,
Green Ontario Fund

In your first post, you said Union Gas is who you got the rebates through - should you be contacting them instead of Hydro One?

I'm trying to remember what I received from Enbridge last year when I got a rebate from them - I think the paperwork was all actual paper, so if I had to find it, I'd have to dig through my filing cabinet.
I am a current Public Mobile customer and Koodo customer.

Oops, I meant Union Gas, and have corrected my post. No worries about digging up paperwork, thanks

I actually have not received the paperwork or money from Enbridge yet. But greenon somehow knew it was in progress. I recieved a call from someone at greenon, explained the situation and she mentioned that she will process the application since the Enbridge rebate was not for windows. I didn't have to provide any proof except I explained what the Enbridge rebate I applied for was, but they may have changed the process or something...not too sure.
