(I'm going to assume you play Basketball, because of all sports, that requires the most grip for shoes)
Are you sure it's not the dust/residue that's found in most gymnasiums?
a find a dirty old rag in the bag + a tiny shot of water from your waterbottle does the trick to wipe off a lot of the dust residue.
or you can be like the 'ballers' and touch their shoes with their sweaty palms...
You shouldn't be losing your grips in 5-6 times. Most Basketball shoes can last quite long, especially if you only use them for Basketball. People will tell you to keep 1 pair for in-gym use and rely on other shoes outside the gym.

Grip in shoes
I find that my shoes loses their grip after wearing them 5-6 times. I lose a lot of traction in games. Does this happen to anyone else? What can I do to prolong it's traction?
