it's all about payback based on time.If you lived in that place long enough, then yes.

how much would you say we're talking about over 5 or 10 years?

Or how much is it per year?

I remember Craig saying that the payback was in the 7-10 year range, pending how much you use it. The reason for that is that we have such a short AC season. Basically mid June to maybe end of August. Heck, this year we're not really even that long.

Looks like the unit is $650+HST more expensive, but you get back $400 in IESO rebate if you get it installed before the 30th.

To be honest, I would just get the 16 SEER and go for the rebate. You'd only spend a little more really.

Hi, I would like to sign up for the group buy for a furnace. I spoke to Craig and he recommend a 45k btu 1-stage Armstrong/Lennox unit. I've previously had an AC install in 2014 and have been quite happy with it.

Sure. I'll note you down for a furnace, but if Craig is going to give you the AC discount then that's great. I've had a few others ask me about furnaces, I think he will give the same group discount. Let me know how it goes.

Is this group buy available to BC?
lol I was asked this last year, because apparently everyone who installs ACs in Vancouver charges an arm and a liver. But nope.

I have no idea about the furnaces, but AC's prices are noted on the first page / first post. Just add HST and subtract any discounts.

Last year there were a couple people who proclaimed that these prices are way too cheap, saying that in Vancouver it costs significantly more for inferior products.

I would like to sign up for the Group Buy too. I am going to replace a 100K BTU Heil Furnace with an American Standard 95H 100K BTU single stage furnace with a DC motor ($250 Government Rebate). Four Seasons Comfort will provide 5 years of labour warranty on top of the 10 years of parts provided by AS

I am guessing you've already contacted Craig? If so, just ask for the Group Buy discounts, he might still offer it.

Craig gave me the discount for the furnace. I was given the AC discount previously when that was installed in 2014. Furnace installation went great, no hiccups and working as advertised. It's much quieter than my old furnace so sometimes I have to make sure it's actually on. Very happy with the work

There is no group buy for furnaces. There is also no thread for it. But from what I know, Craig will give you the same discount for a furnace. You can contact him regarding this.

I'd say 2.5T, but it depends on a bunch of other stuff, too. Like ceiling height, windows, orientation of house, etc...
