Whats Anime North??
Anime North is one of the biggest anime conventions in Ontario.
Anime North is a non-profit, fan-run anime convention, held every year in Toronto, Ontario. Its major events include a Masquerade, Dealer's Room, Artist Alley, Guest of Honor presentations, Gaming (Video and RPG), Panel Discussions, Video Presentation, Contests, and Dances. The convention is hosted at both the Toronto Congress Centre and the adjacent Doubletree International Plaza Hotel, near the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

When is it being held this year?
Anime North 2008 will be held on May 23-25 2008 this year!
The convention hours
Friday, 6 PM to 2 AM
Saturday, May 24, 2007 10 AM to 2 AM
Sunday, May 25, 2007 10 AM to 6 PM

What can I expect at Anime North?

its an anime convention! so you can expect everything anime and more!
Cosplaying, karaoke, watching free videos, going to the dealers room to buy dvds, c.ds, plushies, games..ect.

In order for this group buy to work we will need 10 people or more. Right now we have 2 people including myself.

Group Admissions (10 or more people)
Group registration allows groups of 10 or more people to pre-register at special prices:

To March 14: $40 CDN/USD per person
From March 15 to April 18: $45 CDN/USD per person

There is no limit on the size of a group admission, but it must be pre-registered in advance; group admissions cannot be purchased at the door.

Upon the registration form being received and processed, confirmation forms will be sent out to all group members. Copies will also be sent to the group leader. Please bring these forms with you to the registration desk when you first arrive at the convention.

So ask menation above if we get 10 people or more by March 14 then we get the price for 40$. If from March 15 to April 18 then the price would be 45$. Note this is the full 3 day for the convention. So your saving 10 to 15$.

I got feedback so you will know you won't get scam. Just tell me if your interested and method of payment you gonna do. I will add your name to the list.

ok so some of the people backed out of the deal, but good thing is we have about a whole month to get more people.

ok so i have some bad news...... we can't make payments by March 14 since i haven't gotten any payments from some people. So i can either send your money back or you can send me extra 5$ for each ticket you buy.

ok so now we dicuss the paying method. I will accept any of the 3 method you chose.

1. money order - you can go to any post office and do this

2. EMT (Electronic Money Transfer) - So you will transfer me directly from your bank account to my.

3. Cash - I will have to setup a date and time for people that want to pay for cash to meet up somewhere and pay me cash, so i can get you the ticket.

Please pm with the method you want to use. I will also need the following information from you are name, address and email.

Note: I don't want to do paypal anymore cuz I can't it to verify my bank and don't want to take certain % of your money away

Anime North kinda sucks compared to the other anime convention. I would invest a little bit more $$$$ and try the Baltimore one or even the LA one! I think it's definitely worth it.

also, the LA one, is sometimes very close to BlizzardCon

I'm a huge anime fan but I've never gone out to conventions or events. Do most people go there to buy merchandise? I'm interested in going but don't really intend on spending any money in addition to the entrance fee.

sry to tell you bad news but, in order to volunteer you will need to buy a ticket.

I am also volunteering cuz when you volunteer you have to finish a certain amount of hours then they will give back your money. It says on their site.
