I spoke with Ron, and we agreed on a price to repair my trunk, rear bumper and drivers side quarter panel. Had to leave my car for 3 days, and get a rental.
Decided to get my roof and hood painted as well and Ron worked out a great price for me. Job took an extra few days because of the bad quality of my old paint job, and Ron was nice enough to cover the rental car difference. He also did some extra work on the car that needed to be done and was not asked of him. Overall, a great experience and great job on the paintwork. I highly recommend chipmaster and would go there again in the future!

Louis: Welcome to your first toddler pageant Stewie. Its what you do when you're in Texas.
Stewie: Oh lovely, a first class ticket to a semen stained death in the basement.

Out of interest, how do they fix dents? They have some kind of suction machine?
And how long does it usually take to finish a small job of scratches and dents? Mostly people banging their door at my car.

I believe they use PDR (paintless dent repair), google it for more details.

On the side note, I dropped my car off at Chipmaster this morning. So far it's been amazing service. I originally wanted to get just my bumper fix but Ron gave a fair price on my passenger door and rocker (passenger door has paint chips and a dent) so I'm getting three parts done.

I will be getting my car back on Sat morning (possibly tomorrow), definitely can't wait to see the results. Also based on others' reviews I have recommended a friend which I brought in this morning as well for a quote and appointment.

I'll post after pictures when I receive my car back :D

So I just got back from Chipmaster, and I must say, I have never had such a great experience with a mechanic before. Ever.

Let me run you through my dent saga:

I bought my car used, with a dent on the driver side rocker panel. It never really bothered me until lately, since I'd been considering selling the car and I noticed that my dent would knock off about a grand from the car's value after looking around on kijiji and craigslist.

About a month ago, I went to a local auto body shop (a very reputable one), and they quoted me a whopping $1,100 (minus rental costs for the two days repair). Since then, I kinda gave up on the whole thing since I wasn't willing to spend more than $600 on the dent.

I then noticed the groupbuy here, and thought...what the hell, might as well see what this guy's charging. He comes back with $380 (inc. taxes). I didn't even think about it...the next day, I book a day with him and asked him about a nearby car rental...he said he can arrange a car rental for $35 a day (even though I'm under 25). I thought...great, that's very cheap. So I go, drop off my car...the guy, Ron, is very nice and very friendly, unlike most mechanics I've dealt with. We have a short chat, then the rental place guys come and pick me up. When I get there, they tell me they're going to charge me an underage fee. I was very disappointed with Ron, but blamed myself for not having confirmed there would absolutely NOT be an underage fee.

Anyways, when I get back to work, I email Ron asking him to finish the car ASAP so I could minimize my time with the rental car since it had cost more than anticipated...he then replied telling me that he called the rental place and told them to waive the underage fee...which they did. I was in disbelief...

I go back on Saturday, and here are the results:

After:

Total cost (with rental): $480, compared to $1,200 at the next best option.

Conclusion: VERY highly recommended.

I am highly interested in the estimate. The cheapest I got was $500 total and that includes wet sanding my headlight. FYI, the pictures are of the front bumper below the headlight (big scratch) and above the fog light.

I picked up my car from Ron the other day and i was really happy with the result. Can't even tell that the fender had any dent in it, amazing work.
Now i can return my leased Rav4 in peace and take another one :)
Highly recommend him to anyone.
