Burnaby Mountain comes to mind. It's not nearly as intense but some of the trails are alright.

Grouse Grind Closed...what's a good replacement?
So I thought I was going to do the Grouse Grind tomorrow, but it turns out it is still closed. What is a good replacement? Is there another trail that offers the same intense workout?

Don't expect the grind to open for another month or two.. it's still snowpacked.
Burnaby mountain is definitely not as intense but it's not a bad replacement_______________

You can also run up and down the stairs for a couple of hours at Trail #6 UBC.

YMMV on the view at the bottom.

There are a gazillion trail runs you can go to in the GVRD; a great book to pick up is 101 day hikes in the lower mainland (or something like that)..aout $15 in most book stores...and you can likely save money by staying in the surrey area....
