I never could understand the concept of paying admission for the privilege to buy stuff. Perhaps they should start charging admission to the mall. Then we'll have stuff like "Hey look, they're giving two tickets to the mall for FREE! And parking at the mall is only $20."

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you don't have a Costco membership?

While I admit that I don't go to very many of these due to their largely commercial nature (or on some cases, just no interest), some people are interested in seeing the exhibits, listening to the featured speakers, etc.

Practically no reason to pay with a free live green card, recycle a random electronic or show your metropass for free admission last year. Don't expect to spend the whole day there, but was a fun way to spend a couple hours.

I was interested until I looked at what it actually was. I assumed it would have focused around alternative energy, energy saving type things. You know, things that are 'green'.

Instead it has a bunch of hippie and hipster type shops promoting there new all organic cream and extreme yoga.

I've been to several of them the past few years, and it's a good place to take in all things new in the green economy...from cars to baby diapers. Depending on vendors there, you can score good deals and lots of samples/coupons.

The best one that I've been to was when the Nissan Leaf was first made public. I managed to test drive the Leaf, along with several other electric/hybrid vehicles being showcased at the event.

Sometime a few samples. Don't go looking to feed your whole family a full free meal and you'll be OK.

This is great, thanks.
