It's about time. The cyclists are out of control in the downtown TO area. If drivers are ticketed for not following the rules, so should cyclists.

GTA: Heads up... Cycle Police Blitz
With the weather warming up, I just wanted to post a heads up to all the cyclists in the GTA. Don't forget about bike safety!
I saw 5 cyclists stopped, and given tickets in the St. Clair/Keele area today by police officers on bikes.
Then up the street, I saw a car pulled over (for speeding) by an unmarked cruiser (black sedan).
All this action on a small stretch of road... what a busy day!_______________

Remember, you need a bell, and set of front/rear reflectors on your bike for it to be road legal.

yes big time, they are getting bad everywhere.. i almost hit one because when he was in the same damn turning lane as the cars he cut RIGHT infront of me at last minute as its an ADVANCE at the light.
I believe they need to be controlled in all aspects, if we have rules so should they. They want to ride on the road like a car, follow the same rules, stop signs and all

I don't mind cyclists.
a lot of them know what they're doing...
just the occasional idiot who totally makes you wonder why he/she's still alive.

One of the most common ticket is no light in the front. Once it gets dark, the cops basically have a hayday because most of the bikes out there do not have any lights.
