GTA4 problems on Samsung 40" LCD TV..HELP plz!

Hi all,

I just got a ps3 this week and got gta4 on thursday... do all the proper install and everything but when the game starts up to where you can like drive a car and stuff.. there are like block boxes that keep flashing up on the screen... and it only does this for GTA4.. not MGS4 or any other game i got...im thinking it may be a problem with this tv i got...LN-T4053H

thats the tv... if anyone has any clue as to maybe how i can fix this or just some troubleshooting, it would be greatly appreciated..

try a hard reset of the TV.
For panasonics it was a combo of pressing a button on the TV (Volume -) and the remote (forget which one) at teh same time.
It could be the same for the samsung.

maybe it's your disc or the ps3?
that's probably more likely.

i just figured out that it was the ps3 that is doing the problem... dunno why it will only not work properly for GTA4.... and the worst thing is.. i got it from hmv like 4 days ago... and now they said they wont return it and i can only go and deal with sony now...wtf is that

try another hmv, insist on talking to a manager.
if it's only been 4 days i don't see why they won't take it back.

if they still refuse call up their head office.

Was your PS3 going through a receiver or AV switch or was it directly connected? If it wasn't directly connected try that and see if you still get the corruption. Cheapie receivers and switches can corrupt the video at higher resolutions.
