It was confirmed in the Q & A after it that there will indeed be underwater parts in this one. EXCITING!
I am trying to find a transcript and will post it when i do.

looks good.. I just hope they address the issue of party formation for a quest..
In the first GW, the computer AI players were complete garbage for the challenging quests.
if you weren't an in demand class like a healer it could take an hour to get into a group. .. so much discrimination. I would hope for some kind of match making option instead of trying to walk around towns begging to be part of groups or have people join yours.

Amazing
thats ingame footage around half-way point of video?
Is Guild Wars 2 more solo friendly?
I enjoyed the first bit of Guild Wars 1 because it was mainly me travelling alone and when I wanted joining groups but i didn't like how as the game progressed you had to take henchmen (bots) along with you.
World of Warcraft for example had plenty of Solo oriented areas and larger areas needed groups but Guild Wars 1 you were required to group_______________

Looks really good

I enjoyed Nightfall and will be looking forward for GW2. When is the "approx. expected date"? I know NCSoft hasn't announced any, but when do you guys think it will come out?
I'm thinking Q2 2010.

I'll probably check this out.
EOTN is the one guildwars game I never beat. I got stuck and couldn't find a group, even though my primary was a monk. And it is pretty much impossible to solo as a monk. So I had given up. I might get back into it though to try and finish it up, but I doubt there are many people still on.

Never heard of 600 monk, must be a build that became popular after I stopped playing. I did have a 55 necro though, but only good for farming. Set as an MM though he was decent, but I still couldn't get far into the Asura storyline. I beat the other 2 story lines with my Necro. But my monk has beat everything but EOTN.
I might have to take a look into it then. I was primarily set as a healer with no specific build, but I tried smiting too and it did nothing.Last edited by angekfire; Aug 20th, 2009 at 12:03 PM.

Ursan got nerfed, RoJ causes no more scatter (I think), Soul Reaping got nerfed, 100 Blades was never OP IMO. I'm ambivalent on Imbagon and Sabway/Discordway because it's hard to nerf an entire skill bar (hence why the MB/Distortion combo has yet to be touched). Perma just needs to be non-perma and it'll be fine.
I don't find most PvE difficult: I just run a few skill bars on my heroes (Elementalists are nukers, Necros are MM/SS/Sab/Discordway, Monks are WoH hybrids), bring two monk henchies (overkill I know), the Earth hero, and the interrupter/Necro hero. Melee heroes/hench are useless.
Glad there's no monthly, but I've barely scratched the surface of GW1. I might play less after I finish Survivor on my Ritualist character.

Although the game was visually nice, I'm a bit dissapointed by the lack of game play footage. Hopefully my expectations created from WoW won't ruin the game for me.
